David Morgan performs at SMU Dallas Startup Week

September 12, 2022

Dallas startup week powered by Capital One is a 5-day event that brings together 10,000 innovators and change makers for more than 100 sessions across 20 tracks, 3 summits and more. Evermore Fervour stopped during the weekend and covered for David Morgan. David is a Dallas native and has been perusing music for quite some time now. He began his music career when he was attending school at Texas-Tech University. It was there when he decided to take his music ability seriously. While at school, he was featured in a newspaper article as “The Next Up Act in the City”.

As He began to perform, the crowd was sort of distracted with the many other things going on with the multifaceted event happening, but after his first song people began to gear their attention towards them. He has a very strong presence when it comes to crowd control and running the room. He used a lot of humorous acts and gestures throughout his performance, which kept the crowd wondering and guessing what he would do next. For example, he stood on a table and took a shot from a random person’s drink! talk about entertaining! He performed with a live band, so this was more of a soothing and relaxed type of vibe and atmosphere. David can switch through many flows from song to song and can even hit a few vocal notes for the ladies! As he was ending his performance, the audience began to cheer and chant “ENCORE!” This was great to see, knowing that at the beginning of the show most people were not even paying him any mind.

David performed all the songs he and the band had planned, so the drummer started freestyling a beat while the guitar and pianist chimed in as well. This turned in to David rapping a whole 3-minute-long freestyle to finish off his performance. Overall, it was a wonderful show. David is a great artist with an immense amount of potential to take over the city.
